Collins Place is an urban microcosm designed to invigorate Melbourne's fashionable Paris End throughout the day and into the night. It includes two 180m precast concrete towers set diagonally and linked by a 7,000m2 space-framed public plaza surrounded by retail and entertainment. The 193,000m2 project constitutes the largest, most complex mixed-use development in Australia.

The 45-story ANZ Bank Tower houses a three-story banking hall and corporate / tenant offices above. The adjacent 49-story Collins Tower offers 30 additional tenant floors, totaling more than 110,000m2 of prime office space. At the top of Collins Tower a soaring 15-story atrium brings light and life into the center of a 400-room luxury hotel. At the bottom, a 750m2 clear span ballroom accommodates 1,400 people. Uniting and animating the whole is the six-story Great Space, the skylit public heart of Collins Place, which attracts and orients visitors amid terraced shops, restaurants, cafes, cinemas and other recreational facilities.

Collins Place was designed to bring together the many activities of center city in such a way that they complement and reinforce each other for lasting economic, social and cultural benefit. Through the continuous interplay of its parts, the complex reinforces the dynamism and diversity, the concentration and convenience of downtown.
