Since
joining Pei Cobb Freed & Partners in 1989, Mr. Bruguera has contributed significantly to a wide array of public and private projects both in the United States and abroad. In his capacity as both lead designer and project manager, Mr. Bruguera has played a leading role in such projects as the new seat of the Lombardy Regional Government (
Altra Sede Regione Lombardia), Milan, Italy; Torre Espacio
, an office tower in Madrid, Spain; a corporate office tower in Istanbul, Turkey; the Social and Mercantile Courts Building, part of a large justice complex in Madrid, Spain; World Trade Center and Grand Marina Hotel
, Spain; POS Plaza, an office-commercial-retail
complex in Shanghai, China; and the San Francisco Main Public Library, California.
Prior to joining
Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, Mr. Bruguera spent five years in the office of Cossutta & Associates, Architects in New York. At that time he was involved in City Place Center, Dallas, Texas, a four-million-square-foot mixed-use development. Prior to moving to the United States, Mr. Bruguera maintained a private practice in México City. Mr. Bruguera received his Masters degree in architecture from the State University of New York, Buffalo (MArch 1984), and his Bachelor's
