Since joining Pei Cobb Freed & Partners in 1989, Mr. Bruguera has contributed significantly to a wide array of public and private projects both in the United States and abroad. In his capacity as both lead designer and project manager, Mr. Bruguera has played a leading role in such projects as the new seat of the Lombardy Regional Government ( Altra Sede Regione Lombardia), Milan, Italy; Torre Espacio , an office tower in Madrid, Spain; a corporate office tower in Istanbul, Turkey; the Social and Mercantile Courts Building, part of a large justice complex in Madrid, Spain; World Trade Center and Grand Marina Hotel , Spain; POS Plaza, an office-commercial-retail complex in Shanghai, China; and the San Francisco Main Public Library, California.

Prior to joining Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, Mr. Bruguera spent five years in the office of Cossutta & Associates, Architects in New York. At that time he was involved in City Place Center, Dallas, Texas, a four-million-square-foot mixed-use development. Prior to moving to the United States, Mr. Bruguera maintained a private practice in México City.

Mr. Bruguera received his Masters degree in architecture from the State University of New York, Buffalo (MArch 1984), and his Bachelor's degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (BArch 1980).
